Prop Money Inc. products are imitation currency created exclusively for film, television, photography, and other lawful production, entertainment, novelty, or display purposes.
Our designs may resemble real currency on camera or from a distance. However, upon closer inspection, they clearly indicate that they are not real legal tender. Key differences and identifying features include:
- Printed on commercial paper — NOT U.S. currency linen/cotton paper
- Printed with standard ink — NOT color-shifting security ink
- Does NOT state “The United States of America”
- Does NOT state “Federal Reserve Note”
- Includes “For Motion Picture Purposes” markings
- States that it is not legal tender
- Modified portraits, artwork, seals, borders, and design elements
- Altered names, signatures, slogans, and dates
- Security features such as watermarks and threads are removed or modified
